DJ's, Birthdays and sell outs

The Prisondream's debut album "Songs Of Falling Apart" is now sold out and we are pretty sure that there won't be a new pressing ever again. There might be some copies left in some record stores, but the stock is all empty and gone for good.

December 6th, 2007 (6.12.2007) you'd better be in Doris, Tampere as The Prisondream is DJ'ing in there as guests of the DORKA VIERAISSA -club. The date is special 'cause it's the national independence day and more importantly, the birthday of our guitarist Ville "The Häppä" Haapajoki. Meiju Suvas, Blondie, Snoop Dogg and Devo will most definetely be on the playlist. See you on the dancefloor!

Solo album and more

At the moment Jukka is working on his first ever solo album made on his own name. The album will be out in yet unknown format some time in 2008.

Soon after Jukka has finished his solo thing, The Prisondream will start slowly recording new songs for a new release. The band is also planning to play some gigs after a few months of silence.

Recent news and acoustics

Just thought we'd give a quick recap about what's going on with The Prisondream at the moment. We have been demoing some new songs that might be released some time this year or not. That is if we get them to a form that we all are proud of and being the difficult-minded perfectionists we are about finding the most annoying of routes to produce music and challenge the listener that might take a while ;)

Anyways, we have also been planning to record an acoustic "album" for a free online release. The Acoustic album would feature some of the old The Prisondream "classics" (hah!) and probably a couple of odd cover songs as well. We'll see what happens with that. If you like the idea, let us know!

New website!

As you can see, we have made slight adjustments to the website. Hopefully you'll like the new outlook! We have been rehearsing and slowly making some new songs for a somekind of a new release that we'll hopefully get done and recorded some time soon.

Things pt. 1001

Just a brief update since there's been a while from the last one.

ABOUT THE BAND
Somebody asked at our guestbook if The Prisondream is breaking up and the fact is that we are NOT breaking up. There's just been a small hiatus since all of us are pretty darn busy with all kinds of things.

We have been busy writing new songs for a somekind of a new release. As you might know, the year 2007 is a significant year for us as this little band of ours will reach the ripe age of ten in August.

A SHOW
As you might have noticed, we are also playing with our pals, Deep Insight on February at Yo-talo (yep, we know, we are in fact the "Max Weinberg Seven" of Yo-talo a.k.a. the house band)

We will also have a facelift for this crappy little site of ours, so try to bare with this one for a while.
